Gold Coast, QLD (December 6, 2022) — Sprout Organic Pty Ltd (“Sprout” or the “Company”), the Queensland startup behind the world’s first vegan and organic infant formula today announces its partnership with TerryWhite Chemmart, the company’s fourth national pharmacy deal since its launch in 2021.
Sprout’s formula range will be sold throughout TerryWhite Chemmart’s 500+ local pharmacies, anchoring its place on shelf amongst powerful multinational players including Nestle, Danone, and Bayer. The TerryWhite Chemmart announcement follows Sprout’s most recent national rollout with Chemist Warehouse this year.

“TerryWhite Chemmart has always put customers first, and we are proud to be a part of fulfilling that by providing a product that offers complete nutrition, is allergen-friendly, and certified organic,” said Selasi Berdie, CEO of Sprout Organic.
“Adding TerryWhite Chemmart to our distribution network is a material increase in our footprint in the Australian pharmacy market, and we expect the added credibility and customer reach of TerryWhite Chemmart to compound the growth effect of these new doors,” he added.
By law in Australia, all infant formulas sold for retail must contain the same amount of calories and essential nutrients whether plant-based or dairy. Manufacturers must also adhere to strict testing requirements mandated by Food Standards Australia and New Zealand.
Earlier this year, Sprout Organic’s infant formula was crowned ‘Best Children’s Product’ at the World Food Innovation awards in Europe. The judging panel considered 272 entries from 22 countries across 25 different categories.
Australia is fast becoming one of the top global markets for vegan food products. CSIRO estimates that Australia’s plant-based food sector will grow to $9 billion by 2030.

It’s industry regulation in Australia to present the following information about breastfeeding before you can enter our site.
The following statements may cause emotional distress for some parents, so it’s important for us to reiterate that this is an operational requirement. We know you are doing the best you can and are making decisions that are right for you and your baby.
If you are able, breastfeeding provides the optimal balance of nutrition for your baby. A healthy diet is important during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. If you make the decision not to breastfeed, we recommend you seek advice from your GP or health professional. Should you need an alternative form of nourishment to breastmilk, we recommend considering the social and financial implications. Introducing formula feeding can impact your breastmilk supply and is difficult to re-establish. Should you decide to use a breast milk alternative, please take care to use the formula as directed.
We support your choices and your feeding journey - whatever that may be. We understand breastfeeding isn’t always possible, so please click "I Understand" to confirm your understanding that Sprout is supplying the information contained on this website for informational or educational purposes and should not be substituted for medical advice.
You’re doing an amazing job.
Love, team Sprout
