Australia, QLD (May 18, 2022) — Sprout Organic Pty Ltd, the Gold Coast startup behind the world's first vegan infant formula will debut at the Saudi Food Expo this week, the largest food, beverage and hospitality trade fair in Saudi Arabia.

The plant-based dairy market in the Middle East and Africa is estimated to reach USD 2.16 billion by 2026, driven by rising health and sustainability concerns of consumers. In Saudi Arabia, celebrities such as Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal, the son of the Saudi billionaire Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, are among the major proponents for plant-based diets.

Celebrating the debut, Sprout Organic’s founder, Selasi Berdie said “We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to showcase our formulas here at the Saudi Food Expo. We are now accelerating our global expansion, recruiting a great team, and bringing on an ecosystem of partners that will set the foundations for our international strategy.”

The Saudi Food Expo represents a $54 Billion Industry showcasing 450 exhibitors from over 60 countries with an expected 15,000 visitors.

Sprout Organics’s debut in Saudi Arabia comes just days after its first international expansion into New Zealand, and weeks after its infant formula was crowned ‘Best Children’s Product’ at the World Food Innovation awards in Europe.
